1: Skippy is no newcomer. You can check this out for yourself.
2: Let's not forget that I did actually help the guy, and not for the first time as it happens. The fact that the information he sought was actually incredibly easy to find led me to make a flip remark about research skills. You will note (as Skippy did not initially) that the flip remark was accompanied by a smile. If you interpret that as sarcasm then you need to spend a little more time with your dictionary.
3. Before you know it I'm a smartass who takes delight in demeaning and belittling people. And I wasn't even trying ...

So shame on me because I failed to recognise that this is a 'community based on love and helpfulness'? It's not often words fail me but they just about did there. That line you may know not, William - but in this case you're out of it.

Addendum - back to business
72 seems to have been quite the year for GSETs. May I suggest that you add this one from the Olympia Theatre, Paris to your list?

Pulsing, propulsive bass and a guitar break that grabs you by the ears and demands that you listen.

Just to throw in my 2 pence, Rob. I was perplexed by the response too. Your reply didn't strike me as anything other than full of the milk of forum kindness as is your wont in my book. Tough love, maybe, but love nonetheless. Now, if you'd told him to kindly leave the vicinity with a bullet, I might have raised an eyebrow. Play on brither.

Edit: Just noticed this is the 98000th post to the good ol' gd forum. Wonder if that qualifies me for anything other than not being told to kindly leave the vicinity :~)

Yep; I was off base.

Thanks for the insights above on GSET.

Not at all, Will.
I refer you to the addendum to my post on your GSET thread.

Sorry--sarcasm there (mine, not yours) was misdirected, and confused.

Didn't realize he wasn't a newcomer--my bad. Suppose he played the innocent too well and I went for it.

The "tough love" description is perfect. You know me, a bit too soft hearted for that approach...

Thanks for the GSET insights and suggestions!
